As Salaamu 'alaykum and Peace to all,
The Sweet Sweet World
This week, i wanted to share a hadith from our beloved Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) who said,
‘Verily, this world is sweet and appealing, and Allah placed you as vicegerents therein; He will see what you will do. So, be careful of [what you do in] this world… ‘ (Muslim)
Isn't this reminder so true, my brothers and sisters?
How many things do we have around us that appeals to us so strongly? Things like the handbags displayed in the boutique, the latest car model picture that we cut from the catalog and paste it on the wall and the newest electronic gadget that make us do extra chores just so that we could save money to buy them!
And because of these desires we have, our beloved Prophet has reminded us that we should be careful of what we do in this world, you agree?
Publilius Syrus has given us a good reminder too when he said,
“God looks at the clean hands, not the full ones.”
Think about it.
